Concept & Creative Intent
For the Bazooka Candy Japan TVCM, my objective was to translate the brand’s explosive, playful identity into a contemporary visual language that could resonate with a Japanese audience while remaining unmistakably Bazooka. The concept centered on energy, speed, and exaggeration.

Why This Direction
Bazooka is inherently bold and chaotic, but adapting that tone for the Japanese market required precision rather than excess. The challenge was to preserve the brand’s loud personality while presenting it through polished visuals and clear storytelling suited to broadcast television and social platforms. By leaning into a character-driven approach and high-impact 3D visuals, the campaign could communicate fun and intensity instantly, even in short-form formats.

Production Approach & Process
I oversaw 3D production, animation, compositing, and live-action integration, ensuring consistency across all outputs. The process emphasized efficiency and adaptability, with the entire 2025 CUT done in just 3 days, allowing assets created for the TVCM to be reconfigured for SNS content without losing visual impact. Close attention was paid to timing, rhythm, and transitions to maximize clarity and punch within tight runtimes.

Direction & Final Outcome
As Art director, I focused on maintaining a strong sense of momentum throughout the piece, treating each cut and movement as part of a continuous energy flow. The final result is a campaign that feels immediate, playful, and high-powered, successfully extending Bazooka’s global identity into the Japanese market while delivering flexible content tailored for both broadcast and digital platforms.
