Concept & Creative Intent
This project was conceived as an exploration of tension between the human body and an imposed, sculptural presence. Working with Julius_7 2023 season, my aim was to extend the brand’s dark, industrial language beyond clothing and into form—treating the look as a wearable structure rather than a purely stylistic garment. The headpiece and surface elements function as both ornament and obstruction, framing the body as something altered, constrained, and transformed.

Why This Approach
Julius_7’s design language is rooted in severity, protection, and ritualistic silhouettes. Rather than illustrating those ideas symbolically, I wanted to materialize them physically. By introducing rigid, spiked structures in direct contact with the face and head, the look emphasizes confrontation and presence. The result is intentionally uncomfortable—designed to challenge conventional notions of wearability while remaining coherent within the brand’s aesthetic universe.

Process & Technical Execution
The sculptural components were developed through 3D modeling and realized as physical objects via 3D printing. I approached the digital sculpting process with anatomical awareness, ensuring the forms aligned with the structure of the head while exaggerating points of tension and defense. Prototyping and refinement were integral, allowing the final pieces to sit precisely on the body while retaining their sharp, architectural presence.

Production & Collaboration
In addition to art direction, I oversaw production and casting, working closely with the model, cinematography, and styling teams to ensure alignment across disciplines. The collaboration was treated as a dialogue between fashion, sculpture, and image-making, resulting in a look that exists somewhere between garment, armor, and artifact.

Outcome
The final images present the Julius_7 look as a controlled, confrontational statement—one that extends the brand’s identity into three-dimensional form. The project demonstrates how digital fabrication and fashion can intersect to produce objects that are not only worn, but experienced as sculptural interventions on the body.
